ABSTRACT

As for all OSCE history stations, the examiner can give you the marks opposite if you have either asked a series of closed questions or if your use of open questioning and rapport has allowed the ‘patient’ to reveal all the required information to you. If the latter is the case, summarize the relevant information back to the ‘patient’, thus demonstrating to the examiner that you know what a depression history includes. It will also demonstrate your ability to summarize and interpret what the ‘patient’ has said.
