ABSTRACT
Cancers which arise in bone are exceptionally uncommon. Several discrete diseases can be identified through their differing clinico-pathological features, but for all bone tumours pain is the most common presenting symptom. As this is a feature of a vast array of musculoskeletal disorders, delay in diagnosis is a well-recognized problem.
