ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses one of the more popular alternative or adjunct careers for medics, that of medical journalism. The author, who has been an acting editor of the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and is currently editor of the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine (JRSM), describes his own experiences and provides advice for those considering a career in medical journalism.
