ABSTRACT
This propulsion depends on the explosive energy used, the geometry of the confining rock mass and the explosive charges as well as the capacity of the rock mass to confine the explosive detonation. The detonation timing of the different explosive charges used in the blast is also an important factor in the occurrence of flyrock in as far as it is likely to modify the way the explosive charges function and to affect the geometry of the faces developed during the blast dynamics.
