ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews some of the main invasive plants encountered in African agroecosystems, gives some insight into their utilization by local communities, their economic and environmental impact on agricultural production systems, and the perception of African communities of weed management, and finally addresses the need to improve invasive weed science researches in Africa through an innovated and interdisciplinary approach of collaboration.
