ABSTRACT
Prognosis of breast cancer is determined by a combination of tumor size, grade, and axillary lymph node status; small tumors (<1 cm) and a favorable histology (grade I, special types) with no lymph node involvement are associated with a fi ve-year survival in excess of 90%.
