ABSTRACT
Noise is referred to as unwanted sound; it is a common by-product of our mechanized civilization and is an insidious danger in industrial environments. Noise pollution is usually a local problem and so is not viewed on the same scale of importance as the more high-prole industrial emissions like NOx, CO, and particulates (see Chapter 10). Nonetheless, it is an environmental pollutant of signicant impact.
