ABSTRACT
While re has been existent since the beginning of time, much remains to be learned about it. Because the science of combustion combines heat transfer, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, and multiphase turbulent uid ow to name a few areas of physics, the study of industrial combustion is interdisciplinary by necessity.
