ABSTRACT
Childhood brain tumors constitute nearly 20% of all childhood cancers and are the most common form of solid tumor of childhood. The reported incidence of childhood brain tumors is approximately 3.5 cases per 100,000 children per year. The incidence is inversely proportional to age, as most tumors occur in younger children.
