ABSTRACT
The efficacy of enterocystoplasty has been demonstrated in numerous studies. Clinical
success, measured by improved patient quality of life and decreased upper urinary tract
complications, has been clearly established. The requirement of bowel segment isolation and
reanastomosis, however, has a significant risk of early complications, such anastomotic leakage or
intestinal obstruction.
