ABSTRACT
The infections covered in this section are nowhere common and sometimes geographically isolated in their occurrence. The majority of these infections have their greatest pulmonary impact in the lung parenchyma, with pleural involvement occurring rarely and usually secondary to the parenchymal pathology.
