ABSTRACT
Depending on the type of testing being carried out, access to the microbiological laboratory should be restricted to authorized personnel. Where such restrictions are in force, personnel should be made aware of:
a. the intended use of a particular area; b. the restrictions imposed on working within such areas; c. the reasons for imposing such restrictions; d. the appropriate containment levels.
