ABSTRACT
Reference materials and certified reference materials (see definition in Appendix A) provide essential traceability in measurements and are used, for example;
to demonstrate the accuracy of results, to calibrate equipment, to monitor laboratory performance, to validate methods, and to enable comparison of methods.
