ABSTRACT
Although bioterrorist agents can be acquired by inhalation, by ingestion, and by absorption through the skin, inhalation of an aerosolized agent is the most efficient mode of dissemination and is the one most likely to be employed by bioterrorists. Thus, many of the resultant illnesses will be respiratory or will be the form of infection resulting from inhalation of the offending agent.
