ABSTRACT
Whether or not these events can be associated with anthropogenic climate change, they demonstrate, how destructive natural forces can be. According to the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), climate change will modify global weather patterns, affecting the frequency and intensity of tropical cyclones, sea-level changes, and impacting on agricultural production, all processes related to water and health (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 2007).
