Renewable resources can remain renewable only if they are harvested at a rate that they can renew/regenerate themselves.
In the natural water cycle, solar energy enters the earth system leading to the process of evaporation, formation of clouds and then precipitation in the form of either rain, hail, or snow. This means that water remains within the water cycle without too much withdrawal.
