ABSTRACT
Considering previous experiences, in the midseventies, the Commission of the European Community decided to develop, through the Community Ergonomics Action, a first Ergonomics Program, which was specific to the coal and steel sectors. This program arose from the need to bring Ergonomics closer to the workplace, from the requirement of Ergonomics being participatory and showing an adequate interrelation between co-researchers.
