ABSTRACT

Studies have shown that nurses are exposed to unfavorable working conditions. So there are many occupational hazards to which these professionals are undergoing during the labor exercise, and patient care is the task more arduous. These risks can be classified as: chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial (Simão et al., 2008; Lisboa et al., 2008; Smedley et al., 1995; Rosa, 2012; Cunha & Souza, 2008; Marziale, 2007). In this context, the ergonomic factors are those that will directly affect the relationship between task and worker (Cavassa, 1997). For nursing professionals those risks concerns: load (patient), lack of materials access, imposing unfavorable postures, excessive work demands, psychological factors, etc.
