ABSTRACT
This may account for the small percentage of patients with SDB that are actually referred for diagnosis and treatment. A simple, reproducible, quantitative staging system could facilitate SDB assessment as part of every routine physical examination. Clinical findings suggestive of SDB could alert the physician to search for additional history from a bed partner or others, and to refer the patient for definite diagnosis.
