ABSTRACT
Laboratory studies have long been an integral part of forensic enquiries. ey provide an opportunity to examine in detail evidential material collected from the crime scene and to expose it to a diversity of scientically based studies, with a view to gaining as much information as possible about the identity of the evidence, its origin and its likely signicance.
