ABSTRACT
The research of human embryonic stem cells is today-in addition to the geneticization of medicine, a prime example of the human encroachment into ethical limits. Questions in this area are so diffi cult because they affect our complete existence. No longer is it just the creation of knowledge to control nature, but we begin to design ourselves-as we should be. But how should the human be, and who can decide this?
