ABSTRACT
The goal of this chapter is to explore the known molecular pathogenesis of hypertension in states of vasopressin excess, hyperparathyroidism, hyper-and hypothyroidism, and acromegaly. We will present the current evidence and understanding of the molecular mechanisms of hypertension in various endocrine disorders. Mechanistic insights into blood pressure regulation as it relates to vasopressin, parathyroid, thyroid, and growth hormone actions are presented.
