ABSTRACT
The circulatory system, consisting of blood and lymphatic vessels, constitute a continuous integrated system by which hormones and nutrients are distributed to the cells of the tissues of the entire body, waste products are transported to the excretory organs and lymphocytes with other immunological factors are circulated throughout the body. To perform these functions, the vessels are structurally adapted according to physiological requirements.
