Influence of viscoelasticity on the response of rubber under tensile wave propagation

In this context, Knowles (2002) theoretically studied the propagation of tensile waves in rubbers. Considering a long thin sample made of a material defined by the stress-strain curve of Figure 1a and prescribing a constant speed to one extremity of the sample as shown in Figure 2, a wave will propagate in the material.
