ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Noninvasive cardiac imaging has become an integral part of the current practice of clinical cardiology. Chamber size, ventricular function, valvular function, coronary anatomy, and myocardial perfusion are among a wide array of cardiac characteristics that can all be assessed noninvasively. Noninvasive imaging can evaluate many signs and symptoms of cardiovascular disease as well as follow patients with known cardiovascular conditions over time.
