ABSTRACT
EPIDEMIOLOGY Chronic stable angina is the initial manifestation of ischemic heart disease (IHD) in appoximately 50% of patients. The prevalence is 30,000-40,000 per million. It increases markedly with age and is more prevalent in men than women until the age of 75 years.
