ABSTRACT
The modeling approach is essential for investigations related to C cycling. It can be applied to all aspects of varying types of research whether local or global or research that integrates empirical information, bridges different spatial scales, or makes predictions. A wide variety of models have been developed, ranging from purely statistical ones to models that simulate basic ecophysiological and demographic processes (Peng 2000).
