Computational morphogenesis in architecture: structure and light as a multi-objective design/optimization problem

Natural Light has indeed been a key aspect in architecture until contemporaneity. Le Corbusier wrote in 1923 that “Architecture is the masterly, correct, and magnificent play of masses brought together in light”, a difficult statement to ignore but that immediately raises a fundamental question – how is possible to design using light as performance parameter?
