ABSTRACT

Widespread acceptance and understanding of the principles of sustainable development make the use of devices that protect the environment against noise so common not only due to the existing legislation but it now is considered to be one of the important elements of good design practice. Therefore, more and more often, noise barriers are installed along roads as well as in many streets in the city. These are fairly large objects, strongly interfering with the architectural space thus changing its aesthetics. Unfortunately, there are far too many examples of ignoring their impact on both the environment and landscape.
