Coronary artery disease (CAD) along with its clinical manifestations represents the world’s leading cause of morbidity/mortality. However, its diagnosis in the early stages ensures timely initiation of an effective therapy and subsequently reduction of mortality rates (Tousoulis et al. 2012; Briasoulis et al. 2012; Charakida et al. 2006).
