ABSTRACT
Soils harbor a tremendous biodiversity (Lavelle et al. 1997), with a large bioindication potential. This is also true for mining sites, where the development of soil biota can be a sensitive indicator of reclamation success and ecosystem recovery (Dunger 1968, 1991, Dunger and Voigtlander 2005, 2009, Dunger et al. 2002).
