ABSTRACT

Aer years of traveling abroad alone as a twenty-and now thirty-somethingyear-old woman, there is one thing I’ve come to understand: I can only be as cautious of my safety as fate allows. By this I mean that while it has greatly benetted me to take all the right precautions to keep myself alert and vigilant in practicing strategic rules of safety, I also recognize that if I were to end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, well, there isn’t much I can do about that.
