ABSTRACT
When someone thinks of the word “discrimination,” it is automatically assumed one is speaking of a minority group; African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans, and possibly women. As the United States gains cultural diversity, the typical Anglo-Saxon Eurocentric culture seems to be ironically dissipating. e United States was founded on the principles of religious freedom from “e Mother Country.” In gaining those freedoms, the “white man” essentially wanted to create a land of the “free.” However, creating the “land of the free” only included Caucasians, thus eliminating almost a whole race: the Native American Indians. e white man pushed the Mexican Indians out as well, essentially “in the creation of our national identity.”
