ABSTRACT

Information technology (IT) is the cornerstone for the successful conduct of modern clinical trials. A robust, efficient, secure and accessible IT system is essential for every component of the clinical trial process. From data preparation, submission, collection, transfer to archiving, and analysis, it serves the entire process of the clinical trial. To participate in a clinical trial, institutions must demonstrate their ability to conduct the trial and to provide data with the necessary quality. When data is submitted to a center involved in the information management of the trial. The data undergoes quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure that it meets the standards and protocols of the trial. At the end of the trial, the data is analyzed, archived, and shared.
