ABSTRACT
Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of the African continent. Egypt is a square-shaped country, and has a north-to-south distance of 1,024 km and east-to-west distance of approximately 1,240 km. e Suez Canal divides the total land into two parts: the mainland and the Sinai Peninsula. e mainland faces the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Red Sea to the east (Figure 26.1).
