ABSTRACT
Salinity is one of the major obstacles to increasing crop productivity. Some of the most severe problems in soil salinity occur in arid and semiarid regions of the world. Besides these regions, salinity also affects agriculture in coastal regions and areas affected by low-quality irrigation water (Walia et al. 2006).
