ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses some special hydraulic considerations that are beyond standard application problems. It includes a discussion of viscosity, describing terms and units used to measure viscosity. An example shows the reader how to adjust centrifugal pump performance when handling viscous liquids, and how to judge whether or not it makes sense to even try to use a centrifugal pump with a highly viscous liquid.
