ABSTRACT
Titanium is a special and unique metal because it provides a higher specic strength with excellent corrosion resistance as compared to other structural metals. It is a commonly used metal in the aerospace industry based on its good strength-to-weight ratio and durability. In industrial markets such as the chemical process industry (CPI) where corrosion resistance is the key property, titanium has proved to be far superior to stainless steels and other engineering metals.
