ABSTRACT
The efficacy of any drug depends on its ability to reach its target. The drug delivery to a given tissue after systemic intravenous injection is influenced by the blood supply to the region of interest as well as transport through the vascular wall and the diffusion/convection through the interstitial space. To optimize the selective drug accumulation within the targeted area, one can play with three main parameters.
