ABSTRACT
Within the infrastructure of land transportation, “xed links” are dened as permanently installed structures allowing for uninterrupted passage of a certain volume and composition of trac with adequate safety, eciency, and comfort. e xed links oen cross large stretches of water, but may also comprise signicant land works, for example, when circumventing congested city areas.
