ABSTRACT
Giovanni Barrocu is a professor of engineering geology, Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cagliari, Italy, and the chairman of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) network on “Coastal aquifer dynamics and coastal zone management,” and scienti¤c adviser of the UNESCOIHP MED-MAP project on the management of coastal aquifers, groundwater and land involving all Mediterranean extra-EC countries.
