ABSTRACT

Khaled H. Hamed holds a BSc and MSc in civil engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, and a PhD in civil engineering from Purdue University, United States. He has 25 years of practical experience in the ¤elds of surface hydrology, stochastic hydrology, time series analysis, and ¢ood frequency analysis. He also has vast experience in watershed modeling, stochastic reservoir analysis, time series modeling and forecasting, detection of trends and variations due to climatic changes, and stochastic as well as physical rainfall-runo§ modeling. He is also the coauthor of two textbooks on ¢ood frequency analysis and stationarity analysis of hydrologic and environmental time series published in the United States. Professor Hamed is an associate editor of the IAHS Hydrological Sciences Journal (HSJ) and a reviewer for a number of prominent international scienti¤c journals, which include Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, Hydrological Sciences Journal, and Climate Research, among others.
