ABSTRACT
Gudmestad has published papers on the actions from waves and earthquakes, on the risk involved in marine operations, and on Arctic ¤eld development challenges. He has ¤led several patent applications related to o§shore technology. From 2005 to 2013, he has also been working with the Norwegian University of Technology and Science in Trondheim, Norway, as adjunct professor of Arctic o§shore civil engineering and from 2013 as adjunct professer of Cold Climate Technology at University of Tromsø, Norway. He has been awarded honorary doctoral degrees from the Gubkin State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow in 2002 and from Murmansk State Technical University in 2008.
