ABSTRACT
Another defining characteristic of the data mining process, captured by the aforementioned tools, is the effective employment of visual analytics. Interactive, powerful, visual interfaces where data can be displayed, manipulated, and analyzed in a variety of forms is a hallmark of the modern data mining engagement. Currently, Spotfire is one of the best examples of this type of data mining tool (Figure 12.1).
