ABSTRACT

Powder metallurgy, vacuum sintering furnace is a time varying, big lag and nonlinear heating system. Due to the complexity of its physical and chemical mechanism and affected by many factors, it is difficult to obtain accurate mathematical model.And it is difficult for the traditional PID control effect to be satisfactory when parameters change greatly and the control precision is highly demanded. The adaptive Fuzzy PID control does not require the system to give a precise mathematical model. The control rules are set up according to practical experience of people, thus the control decision table is made. According to the decision table to control, the system works especially well for sintering furnace which is a complex object of industrial production. The main factors of affecting product quality in the sintering process are temperature and time. Particularly, the temperature is required strictly. In this paper, adaptive fuzzy PID algorithm is adopted and simulation was carried out for the temperature.
