ABSTRACT
The ultra-wide band (UWB) antenna has abstracted tremendous interests since the development of the high-speed and large capacity communications, especially the last 100 miles communications (Porcino & Hirt, 2003). The application of the UWB antenna were spread from the traditional shot-range communication to the Internet of Things including the Body network systems (BSN). In the UWB communication systems, the UWB antenna was considered to transmit/receive wide-band pulse in short durations. This unique feature requires the UWB antenna has uni-performance in the assigned wide frequency band (Yang & Giamalkis, 2004). Different types of UWB antennas have been proposed. As one of the branches of the UWB antenna structures, fractal antenna has been developed greatly due to its ultra wide band performance (Prasad et al, 2000).
