ABSTRACT

Industrial systems are subject to failures all along their lives. A maintenance (or repair activity) is carried out after a failure. In literature, there are several mathematical models that describe failure behavior and repair efficiency. In this paper, we are using the Brown-Proschan model, which assumes that after a failure, a system is perfectly repaired with probability p and minimally repaired otherwise. Inference of parameters of model is introduced by using a bayesian approach. A comparison with other inference procedures is presented and a convergence diagnosis is mentioned.
