ABSTRACT
Solar arrays are the energy source of satellite. Typical failure modes of solar array are given and discussed in this paper. The power degradation induced by radiation is considered as the major failure factor after analysis. The reliability model of solar cell is established using heteroscedasticity linear, and reliability of solar array is assessed accordingly. The degradation data is from ground irradiation test on solar cells.
