ABSTRACT

For five years a bow-tie approach has been applied by control bodies that perform technical audits at Seveso Establishments on behalf of Italian Competent Authorities. A number of reports, resulting from those audits have been analyzed to find the weaknesses of the application of bow-tie method in the industries affected by the Seveso Legislation, in order to support both establishment operator and control bodies in applying bow-ties. From these analysis, have been derived a few practical suggestions, suitable for a smart software implementation.
