ABSTRACT
This paper presents a method to verify the need of multidimensional process analyses (process capability indices) from the early beginning of the development phase to the verification inside the manufacturing phase. The linkage to a part of the product life cycle has been chosen to quote and allocate some possible methods inside each phase that can be seen on the one hand as specific analysis tools and on the other hand the combined information of each analysis can be seen as an indicator for advanced manufacturing analyses. The presented procedures out of the development, the measurement and the manufacturing phase are industrial state-of-the-art methods, so that their implementation can be postulated. Afterwards a first attempt is presented to generate the necessity of multidimensional process analyses. The utilized methods are correlation analysis and multiple linear regression methods.
